Wi-fi Sync est une application actuellement disponible sur Cydia qui vous permet de synchroniser votre iPhone via iTunes en wi-fi.

Actuellement disponible en version 1.1, une version 2.0 est en cours de développement avec un changelog plutôt chargé ;-)

C’est via son twitter et son blog que l’auteur a annoncé la nouvelle.

Work on Wi-Fi Sync 2.0 is progressing well. The new release will fix the outstanding issues reported by a small number of users, in addition to some new features such as sync-over-3G support. You’ll also be able to disable automatic backups for wirelessly connected devices only, rather than disabling backups for all devices (even those connected via USB) as with the current version. 2.0 will also be far friendlier to those who like to manage their own startup items; you’ll be able to start and exit Wi-Fi Sync whenever you like, and you can choose whether to run it at startup. I don’t even plan to ship an installer – instead you’ll be able to copy the app into Applications, like many other Mac apps. It will require iTunes 10.

An initial beta version for Mac OS X users will be available in the coming weeks, with the Windows beta to follow later this year. The beta will be open to existing Wi-Fi Sync 1.1 users who have purchased the app before the beta testing period begins.

I’ve been repeatedly asked whether integration with Synchronicity is coming. (For those who don’t know, Synchronicity is a tweak which allows you to use your device while waiting for it to sync). The answer is no; instead, I’m pleased to announce that 2.0 will include built-in support for background sync, over both Wi-Fi and 3G.

Ainsi, avec plus de 20 000 ventes, l’auteur travaille d’arrache pieds sur cette version 2.0 ;-)

Au menu de la prochaine version :

• Syncrhonisation via 3G
• Mise à jour du soft pour Mac / Windows / Linux (car il faut installer un addon sur son ordinateur)
• Compatible iTunes 10
